Mamo

Mamo was one of 16 chimps that were presented as a gift to the Anthropoid Research Station by the "Pastoria" station of the Pasteur Insitute in Kindia, French Guinea. Henry Nissen brought Mamo, 5 males and 10 other females back from Africa on June 17, 1930.

Date of Death: April 5, 1941

Mamo died from an accidental overdose of anesthesia during an operation for a hysterectomy. Mamo was approximately 13 years old when she died.
