Kambi

Date of Birth: CAPTURED IN AFRICA (estimated birth in 1929)
Kambi was just an infant when she was presented as a gift to the Anthropoid Research Station by the "Pastoria" station of the Pasteur Insitute in Kindia, French Guinea. Henry Nissen brought Kambi, 5 males and 10 other females back from Africa on June 17, 1930.

Date of Death: January 10, 1946
On November 5, 1936 Kambi was transferred from the New Haven laboratory to Orange Park for a morphine addiction study. She died of dysentary. She was approximately 7 years old.
